WRITING TASKS
Me as an Artist
Inspired by the Letters of Van Gogh, Write a letter to a friend or family member which tells them about your art work.
Make a sketch of some of your paintings and share your ideas about your own work and the artists that have inspired you.
Me as an Artist
Respond creatively to the following question.
Incorporate relevant words, texts or quotes into or alongside your response.
What type of marks should you as an artist make at this time in history and why?
Natural Forms and Landscapes
Landscape is central to the work of many contemporary writers.
In a time of technological and cultural changes to our understanding of ‘place’, the way we approach, define and describe landscape has profound effects on our writing and beyond.
Create a poem based on special place that is meaningful to you. Ensure that you illustrate it with care to reflect your memories and personal experience.
Natural Forms and Landscapes
Landscape is often experienced as sights – views, paintings, photographs, and visual descriptions.
Produce a piece of writing that describes a landscape painting. Try to include sounds, smells, tastes and, perhaps most importantly, the tactile and kinaesthetic properties of landscape.
