Celebrating Our Annual Careers Fair – 11 February 2026

Feb 11th we were delighted to host our Annual Careers Fair, a highlight of the school calendar and an important milestone in our students’ career education journey.

This year’s fair brought together over 30 employers, training providers, and post‑16 and post‑18 education destinations, giving our students an exceptional opportunity to explore the wide range of pathways available to them beyond Stratton. From local and national employers to further education colleges, universities, and specialist training organisations, the event showcased the breadth of possibilities our young people can aspire to.

Throughout the day, students from across the school engaged in conversations, asked thoughtful questions, and gained valuable insight into the skills, qualifications, and personal qualities needed for different careers. Exhibitors were full of praise for the curiosity, confidence, and maturity shown by our learners.

Events like today play a crucial role in helping students make informed decisions about their future, inspiring them to discover new interests and empowering them to set ambitious goals.

A huge thank you to every organisation that joined us, and to all staff and students whose hard work made the event such a success. We are proud to support our young people as they begin shaping their next steps—and excited to see where their journeys will take them.

Why Careers Education Matters

Careers education plays a vital role in helping young people understand the world of work, develop aspirations, and make informed decisions about their futures. High‑quality guidance supports students to:

  • Explore a breadth of career possibilities
  • Understand the skills and qualifications required for different pathways
  • Build confidence through meaningful interactions with employers
  • Make well‑informed, personalised choices about their next steps

Our work is guided by the Gatsby Benchmarks, the nationally recognised framework for excellent careers provision. These benchmarks ensure that students receive a broad, stable, and impactful programme of careers education.
